Eagle Project Fundraiser – Stations of the Cross

Hello, my name is James Covarrubias, and I am currently working on my Eagle Scout project. I am working with the St. Ignatius Loyola Parish to assemble and install 14 Stations of the Cross Posts near the athletic track/field at the school.  The Stations of the Cross is an important prayer, especially during Lent, where one can grow closer with Jesus, following Him through His last day on Earth. My project will create a space where both students and parish members can pray, and provide markers to visualize each station.
I plan to create the 14 Stations of the Cross posts, each containing a brass marker visualizing each station. I will then install these posts into concrete spaces. This in total will cost approximately $2,000 to accomplish. Any additional funds left over will be donated to the Parish.
Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you for your support. Donations can be made through:

Eagle Scout Project Fundraiser

Hello. This is Trevor Ogilvie; I am currently working on my Eagle project. I am working with Three Valley Conservation Trust to extend a boardwalk through Helen S. Ruder Preserve. This nature preserve boarders Miami University’s campus in Oxford, Oh. It is frequented by faculty, staff, students, and community members. This boardwalk will make the Preserve handicap accessible and make it easier for people to walk through the preserve since it is in a flood plain.

The goal for my project is to continue a section of the boardwalk an additional fifty feet. This section will cost around $2,000 to complete Any extra funds will be donated to Three Valley Conservation Trust for future projects and maintenance.

Any help you can give is greatly appreciated. Thank you for your support.

Troop Fundraiser – Fish Fry Dessert Table – Feb. 28th

Troop 850 has been selected to run the Dessert Table at the St Ignatius Fish Fry on February 28th.   This is our first Troop Fundraiser in nearly a year, so all families are expected to provide desserts to feed at least 24 people.  Desserts can be brought to the Troop meeting Tuesday, or, preferably, to the Boeckermann house later in the week or to the Loyola Center after 4:00 on Friday.

Scouts will be needed to work on Friday.  Shifts are 4:30-6:30 and 6:30-8:30 and there will be a sign-up sheet at the Tuesday meeting.  Contact Susi Boeckermann (203-6238) if you have any questions. Thank you in advance for your help.

Eagle Scout Project Fundraiser

Hello. This is Evan Ogilvie, and I am currently working on my Eagle Scout Project. I am working at St. Ignatius with the help of the principal, Mr. Tim Reilly, to create indoor, vertical gardens. Each garden will be on a metal rack with its own set of LED grow lights bought from bestledgrowlightsinfo.com and irrigation system. At first, these gardens will only be growing baby lettuce, but the hope is that in the future, they will grow a lot more than just lettuce.

Everyday, students have the option to have a salad with their lunch as an entrée or a side. For over 1,000 students, that’s a lot of lettuce. My goal for this project is to show the students where their food comes from, how much it takes to grow something they eat everyday, and let them take part in growing their lunch.

The goal is to have four racks. That way a rack of lettuce is harvested and planted each week since baby lettuce takes about 4 weeks to fully grow. Each rack will cost approximately $650 each. Any extra funds or materials will be set aside so that more racks can be purchased in the future, or donated to Food Rescue, who will also be receiving the unused or unwanted food from lunches and the extra lettuce.

I have set up a Go Fund Me page seeking donations from the community. Clicking here will take you to the page. Alternatively, donations can be sent directly to Troop 850. Any help you can give is greatly appreciated and thank you so much for your support. If you have any questions or would like to know more about my project, please contact me at ogilvie.evan@gmail.com.

Thank you so much for your help!

Eagle Project Fundraising

Hello,

My name is Alexander Richardson. I am currently working on my Eagle Scout Project and am in need of donations of money and materials to complete the project.

My project is refurbishing and landscaping a picnic area located at the school at  St. Joseph Orphanage in Cincinnati. As you may know, St. Joseph Orphanage provides a large number of services for youth in our area including education.  The school currently is in need of creating an outdoor picnic space for the students.  This will be a clean , safe space for students to eat, relax and meet with parents and case workers.

What I currently need is enough funds and materials to purchase the following:

Service Berry tree            Ground Cover plants

Bench                               Stepping Stones

Top Soil                             Mulch

The approximate cost of the project is $624.

You can help students at St. Joseph Orphanage have a clean, safe and beautiful area to hang out with friends, meet with parents and case workers and just have a moment of relaxation.  No donation is too small or too large.

Thank you for your time, consideration, and assistance.

Donations made in the form of a check should be made out to the beneficiary, St. Joseph Orphanage.  Checks can be mailed to:

All sponsors will be recognized at the event with their names and/or logos displayed to thank them for their contribution for all to see who our generous benefactors are.

Spaghetti Dinner Tickets

To All Troop 850 Scouts and Parents,

Troop 850 is sponsoring the annual Spaghetti Dinner to be held on April 6, 3:30pm – 7:00pm in the St. Ignatius School Cafeteria. Everyone’s help is needed to make this a successful event.
Boys were given advance tickets at the 2/26/13 troop meeting. Each advance ticket that you sell, earns credit in your personal Troop 850 account that can be used to pay for campouts, summer camp and other Troop activities. You will be credited $4.00 for each advance ticket that you sell. These tickets are your responsibility and you will be expected to turn in either the unsold tickets or the money you collected no later than the Troop meeting held on Tuesday, April 2nd. All the advance tickets you have must be accounted for at that time. If turned in later than the troop meeting on April 2nd, your personal account WILL NOT be credited with the money from the advance sale.
If you need additional tickets, please contact Nicki Eichhold at n_eichhold@yahoo.com.

Advance Ticket prices:
Adult Tickets (12 yrs – 64 yrs): $7.00
Child/Senior Tickets (3 yrs – 11 yrs or >65 yrs): $5.00
Children under 3: FREE
Cub Scouts in Uniform: FREE

***PLEASE turn in any money collected and any unsold tickets in an envelope with your name. Also, indicate how many adult tickets were sold, how many child tickets were sold and the amount of any donation you received. When scouts hand in a pile of cash with unsold tickets it is VERY difficult to figure out who deserves credit for advance sales.***

Top 3 Sellers will be recognized at the Spaghetti Dinner as well as receive an awesome prize for their efforts!!
