Spring Backpacking Trip
The Troop will return to the Twin Lakes area of the Hoosier National Forest in Indiana the weekend of April 8-10. This will be a great trip both for our experienced backpackers and brand new Scouts who would like to try it for the first time. We’ll be divided into two groups, one to take a more challenging route and the other to take a shorter route perfect for first-timers. We’ll all meet at the same beautiful spot in the woods overlooking one of the twin lakes to camp together Saturday night. A permission slip is attached and must be returned April 5. Last spring, our scout troop set out on an unforgettable backpacking trip through the rolling hills and dense forests near our town. The air was crisp, the streams sparkled under the morning sun, and every trail brought new surprises. We relied on our sturdy gear and teamwork to navigate tricky paths and set up camp each night. Along the way, we shared stories, learned survival skills, and strengthened friendships that would last a lifetime.
