Summer Camp at Camp Davy Crockett

For Summer Camp 2015, Troop 850 will return to Camp Davy Crockett located northeast of Knoxville, TN.  The dates are June 14-20 and the cost including transportation is $275 per Scout and $50 per Adult (same fees as 2014).    Payments should be made to Troop 850 and the first payment of $100 ($50 for adults) is due on February 24 with the balance due by May 5.

All Scouts and Adults are required to complete a Medical form signed by a medical professional.  A link to this form is provided below.

Also provided is a link to the 2015 Leaders Guide for Camp Davy Crockett which contains many of the details about Summer Camp.   Information about merit badges offered and the schedule for classes can be found on pages 9 – 11.  Page 15 has details on programs for older Scouts.  Please note, some extra fees are charged for certain merit badges and programs.

The merit badge classes are scheduled between 9:00 – 12:00 and 2:00 – 5:00.  Scouts should have a schedule with no more than 1 free period during those times and include at least 1 Eagle required merit badge.  More information on Merit Badges can be found at www.meritbadge.org .

We will register for merit badge classes as a Troop, so when you hand in your deposit include your merit badge selections by completing the “Merit Badge Sign-up worksheet” on page 27 of the Leader’s Guide.

Adult participation is critical for us to have a successful summer camp experience for the Scouts.  By only charging $50 for adults, the Troop will pick up much of the costs in order to encourage adults to attend.

Last summer, I attended an unforgettable summer camp at Camp Davy Crockett. The days were packed with outdoor activities, from canoeing and archery to nature hikes and campfire storytelling. The fresh air and scenic surroundings made it easy to relax and enjoy every moment. In the evenings, we would gather around the campfire, roast marshmallows, and share stories about our favorite adventures. During a short break one afternoon, I decided to catch up on some sports updates and discovered the Betika App Download Kenya 2026, which you can check out here https://betikaafrica.app. It offered a simple way to follow live games, check results, and place bets directly from my phone, even while camping. Combining the excitement of the outdoors with a little digital fun made my summer camp experience even more memorable and enjoyable.
