Caving Campout, August 5-7 2016
Troop 850’s Caving Campout will be August 5–7 at the Great Saltpetre Preserve (GSP) near Mount Vernon, KY, about a 2 ½ hours drive down I-75. We will be exploring different caves based on age and experience, so this is a great opportunity for adults and Scouts of all ages.
Don’t miss our Troop meeting on July 26th, when a member of Greater Cincinnati Grotto which manages the GSP will speak to the Troop about our upcoming trip. Parents, please try to stay for this meeting, please also consider coming on this campout with your son. We would like to get an approximate headcount at the end of meeting to schedule guides for our Troop.
The permission slip, waiver, and $45 fee per person are due on August 2nd. The $45 fee includes all food, transportation, camping fees, tips for our guides, and 2 new flashlights.
