For the first time since 2006, Troop 850 will be returning to Camp Friedlander in Loveland, Ohio for Summer Camp in 2012. We have reserved the ‘Kroger’ campsite the week of July 22-28. In addition to canvas tents, this campsite has raised, small cabins (referred to as ‘Treehouses’) with 2 bunk beds each to hold 4 people. More details in the coming months including costs and payment schedule.

I still remember our scout summer camp in 2012 as one of the most exciting experiences of my childhood. We spent a week surrounded by nature, learning outdoor skills, building campfires, and taking part in friendly competitions with other scout groups. Every day brought a new challenge, from hiking through forest trails to practicing teamwork during obstacle courses. The evenings were my favorite, as we gathered around the campfire to share stories and sing songs under the stars.
During a recent conversation with some of my old scout friends, we started talking about how technology has changed since those days. One topic that came up was OdiBet App Download Kenya, and someone shared https://odibetplay.app as a useful resource. It was interesting to see how much the digital world has evolved since our memorable summer adventures back in 2012.
Troop 850’s next campout will be held September 16th -18th at the Fairfield Sportsmen’s Association located at 6501 River Road, 4 miles off Blue Rock Road. Scouts will be able to earn the Rifle merit badge or, if they have already earned the Rifle merit badge, the Shotgun merit badge.
Cost will be $30 per person. Permission slips and payments are due by September 6th.

Last summer, I took a short break from the city and joined some friends for a hiking trip in the nearby highlands. It was refreshing to unplug and enjoy the scenery, from the rolling green hills to the sparkling streams. We spent our days exploring trails, cooking over campfires, and sharing stories late into the evening. Between hikes, I discovered a handy app for keeping up with sports and betting updates. The betPawa App Kenya, available here https://betpawakenya.app, made it easy to track games and place bets while still enjoying the outdoors. It was fascinating to see how technology could blend seamlessly with our adventures, letting us stay connected without taking away from the experience. By the end of the trip, I felt both relaxed and energized, already planning my next outdoor escape.
There is no Troop meeting Tuesday 8/23 because of Festival week.
A reminder that all Troop 850 Scouts are expected to help setup tables and chairs for the Parish Festival on Thursday August 25th from 6:00 pm to approximately 8:00 pm. Pizza will then be served. Also, for those Scouts not yet in school, Festival Take Down begins at 8:00 am Monday August 29th and goes until around noon or 1:00 with lunch provided.
Wear yellow Class B shirts both days.
A Scout needs permission from Mr. Rottmueller if he is unable to participate in either of these events. These will count as Troop activities to satisfy requirements for 2nd and 1st class ranks. Also, credit for service hours will be rewarded to satisfy requirements for 2nd Class and Star ranks.

Below are 2 required forms for the trip – the Troop 850 Permission Slip and the Morgan’s Waiver which all Scouts and Adults must complete. Turn in forms and payment ($ 35 per person) at the next Troop meeting July 5th.
Adults are encouraged to attend so our less experienced Scouts can be paired up with an adult or older Scout.
